This dream shooting safari delivers a diverse array of plains game hunts in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, one of the premier big game destinations on earth. Outfitter Jaco Strauss is highly regarded in the industry for securing some of the best hunting blocks in Southern Africa, as well as delivering a premier client experience.

Trek Safaris offers hunters an exclusive package to include a seven-day safari for Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Blesbuk, and Warthog. Should you wish to enhance your package, there are over 20 plains game species in the region and four of the Big Five. Trek chose Kwalata because of the abundance of game available and the excellent hunters on staff, as each hunter goes above and beyond in making sure you have a chance to harvest your targeted animals.

Trek has crafted a South Africa plains game hunting trip that starts with your arrival into Johannesburg, South Africa, where you will be met by Jaco. He will help you clear customs and all formalities, and then he will transfer you the three hours to the lodge.

Jaco or one of his professional hunters will guide you for the next seven days of hunting on your African safari. On the final day, you will have breakfast before transferring back to Johannesburg and your flight home. You may also wish to extend for a game viewing safari or sightseeing to many of the other areas of South Africa, all of which Trek can help you arrange.

This South Africa plains game hunting takes place on 32,000 acres of complete free range in the Waterberg Mountains of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. Unlike the typical African plains, Kwalata is more mountainous, providing elevation and a landscape mix that assures unique scenery for a truly wild hunting experience and a welcome challenge to harvest your animals. Since plains game is the primary species, the best time to hunt is from March through October, as these are the cooler months in South Africa and are much more pleasant.

Valamanzi is the main camp and lodge, located in the African bush on a small river that provides a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. You will stay in one of the three cozy chalets complete with two bedrooms, a bathroom and lounge area. Built on stilts overlooking the river and connected by walkways, Valamanzi offers a very unique setting for an African safari.

The central part of the lodge is built with beautiful African wood and thatched roofs, and has a large common area that is perfect for unwinding and reflecting on the day’s hunt. The cuisine is one of the best parts of your stay at Kwalata, with many meals consisting of the game you have taken and the famous South African wine.
