Much of Trek’s longstanding Argentina waterfowl success can be attributed to Cano St. Antonin and his Four Seasons Adventures. For 20 years now, Cano has hosted Trek clients seeking to shoot decoying ducks in the finest habitat.

We are offering a hybrid program allowing each hunter either 60 ducks per day or eight boxes (which ever is reached first). This region is a retreat for ducks with many acres providing ponds and lagoons created after the flood of Buenos Aires in 1988. These areas have progressed into a newly formed ecosystem perfect for the winter-feeding grounds of ducks.

You will find many species like common fulvous tree ducks, black bellied tree ducks, white-faced tree ducks, southern widgeon, brown or Chilean pintail, white-cheeked pintail, speckled teal, cinnamon teal, Argentina red shoveler, silver teal, rosy billed pochard, black headed duck, and the lake duck.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires’ international airport EZE, you will clear immigrations, gather your luggage and proceed to exit through customs into the main arrival/greeting area. You will then be greeted by a member from 4 Seasons Adventures who will transfer you about 3.5 hours to Estancia Villa Maria. Optional charter service is available from BA to an airstrip within 35 minutes of Villa Maria.

You will arrive at the lodge and after introductions, lunch will be served. This afternoon you will go out for a duck hunt.

The next two to three days, depending on the length of your trip, will be full days shooting ducks. The final day of your adventure, you’ll enjoy a morning duck hunt then enjoy lunch at back at the lodge. Shortly after lunch, you will be transferred back to BA’s international airport and check in for your overnight flight home.

The B.A. Province region is an ideal retreat for ducks with many acres providing ponds and lagoons created after the flood of Buenos Aires in 1988. These areas have progressed into a newly formed ecosystem perfect for the winter-feeding grounds of ducks.

Each morning you will rise to a full breakfast and head out with your guide hunting decoying ducks with opportunities to shoot 11 different species of ducks. Blinds are built with every hunter in mind using hard bottom construction, raised platforms, or “bucket” style pits. Added to the overall waterfowl tradition will be well-trained Labradors that will fetch each bird you take decoying into the spread.

After your morning hunt concludes, you transfer back to Villa Maria to enjoy appetizers, a full lunch and time to recharge. Around 3 p.m., you will head back out for your afternoon hunting lasting until dark or when you reach your limit of ducks. Each evening you will enjoy scrumptious Argentine meals and normally an early night as each morning comes quickly.

Estancia Villa Maria sits in Partido de Lincoln in the Buenos Aires Province. Situated in the northwestern part of the province, Villa Maria is right in the middle of prime duck habitat in Argentina.

A traditional Argentine estancia, Villa Maria has seven ensuite rooms, with each one evoking a sense of Argentine history and charm. The staff prides themselves in taking care of guests, always providing them with the services one looks for when traveling.

The kitchen serves up casual fine dining with a blend of contemporary and varied Argentine cuisine. Fresh meat and local ingredients are what make our asados excellent. The kitchen is also fully accommodating to food allergies and preferences.
