Los Guaduales is a magnificent 22,000 square foot lodge providing guests with the ultimate in luxury and amenities, including a full spa. You are sure to appreciate your relaxing evenings soaking in the best of the Molina estate, as you catch your breath from the days’ intense efforts to keep pace with the spectacle provided by Bolivia’s booming dove population.
Those who have experienced the Bolivian Adventures wingshooting program before know this is a truly special place, where waves of doves roll overhead with such relentless intensity, sometimes you have to stop shooting and take in the awe of the spectacle. You will also enjoy a morning pigeon shoot for one of your hunts during this adventure.
The Trip
Although airfare is not included, both Air Boliviana and COPA offer daily service into Santa Cruz, Bolivia. When you arrive into Santa Cruz, you will be met by a member of Jorge’s staff who’ll assist you through customs and then provide either transfer to your hotel in Santa Cruz for the night, or the 90 minute ground transfer to Los Guaduales, depending upon the airline schedule chosen. On day two of your adventure, after lunch and getting settled in, your group will head out to shoot late this afternoon. The next two, or three days will be full shooting days, with one of the morning shoot being a bonus pigeon shoot. As the drives to the fields are in the 60-90-minute range, we will return to the lodge in the midday for a relaxing lunch and siesta before shooting the late afternoon flight. The last lodge day, you will shoot in the morning, before having lunch and being transferred back to Santa Cruz, where you will spend your final night before taking your scheduled flight home the following morning.
The Experience
Whether you want to shoot in the fields, along a flyway, or near the roost, Jorge Molina and his team can orchestrate a Bolivia dove hunting trip and it won’t be far away. The shooting is extraordinary, as the sky is literally darkened by doves pouring out of their roosts in the mornings and back in the afternoons. Also offered at no additional charge is an option to hunt pigeon on one of your hunts.
The Accommodations
Longtime Trek partner Jorge Molina spent two years planning, constructing, and personally overseeing all aspects of Los Guaduales. This visually impressive lodge was designed to pamper the most discerning of clients, all while maintaining the family feel that has always been Jorge’s trademark and still offering amazing Bolivia dove hunting.
Guaduales offers spacious single rooms with king sized beds, a magnificent enlarged bar, as well as a game room. There is an entire spa with masseuse, wet & dry sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi that is perfect for relaxing that sore shoulder and getting you ready for the next day’s action. This is simply the first lodge in Bolivia offering these levels of amenities, and it must be seen to be believed.
