Morocco, which sits at or near the top of nearly every recent list of must-experience travel destinations, is a kingdom of wonders that has so much to offer. Riding in a caravan of camels across the Sahara, feasting on fresh-picked dates while watching an indigenous Berber charmer coax a cobra out of his hand-woven basket, hunting wild partridge along the foothills of the majestic Atlas Mountains— Morocco provides so many moments that feel cinematic in nature.

This Trek exclusive adventure delivers all-inclusive stays at some of Morocco’s most luxurious properties, five days of thrilling driven partridge shooting, gourmet meals and authentic Moroccan hospitality and exciting excursions to experience the vibrant grandeur of Morocco.

Hunt across the rolling foothills of the Atlas Mountains, guided by seasoned professionals and a talented team of pointing dogs and beaters, delivering fast-paced and challenging shots in breathtaking surroundings. With daily drives of up to 2,000 partridge and limits of 400 birds, this experience is among the finest in North Africa.

Trek has designed a privately hosted nine-day, eight-night journey beginning with your arrival into the coastal city of Agadir followed by a 50-mile journey to Taroudant, which lies at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Here, we will experience four nights and three days of driven wild partridge, hosted by Taroudant’s most hospitable couple, the de Dugas Boissonny’s at Courrier Sud.

After three full days of wingshooting for the hunters and soaking in the picturesque culture and countryside by our non-hunters, we will make a breathtakingly scenic trek into the Atlas Mountains to Sir Richard Branson’s wonderful property, the Kasbah Tamadot, for a gourmet dinner and an overnight stay. Following a morning of leisure and lunch the next day, we will make our way to Marrakech, where we have two days to enjoy sights and sounds the “red” city and the surrounding Ourika Valley.

Our time in Marrakech will include private tours of the medieval walled city, landmark mosques, and the public markets with a bilingual guide and five-star accommodations at Hotel La Mamounia. While it is impossible to truly see all of Morocco in one trip, we are sure you will find this finely curated experience delivers a lifetime of memories.

Our outfitter Malik Laraïchi, with over 35 years of experience organizing wild bird shooting in Morocco for international sportsmen, together with a Spanish expert in driven partridge shooting, have joined together to create an incredible Moroccan driven partridge shoot. Malik’s heritage, passion and ability to arrange this most amazing hunt sets him apart from his peers.

Here, at the “Domain Chafarni” fauna and flora reserve, which offers breathtaking views of the region, birds will be driven across seven-thousand undulating acres running across the base of the Atlas Mountains. With fabulous valleys, combining Argania’s, mountain pines and arbustive vegetation, this area provides an ideal biotope for the Gambra partridge wild boars and the protected gazelles found in this area. Our hunts will consist of 1,000-2,000 driven partridge presented to a line of eight guns (or less) each of the three days, with a limit of 400 birds per day.

While our line of hunters is out in the field, any non-hunters in the group at the Courrier Sud will enjoy day trips out and about, seeing the sights of Morocco and the meticulous attention of our gracious hosts.

Marrakech is an intoxicating city of about a million people and mostly known for its souks, spices, snake charmers and hidden palaces. However, today it more likely features trendy art galleries, hip hotels and elegant hammams (Turkish bath). Marrakech offers a tantalizing taste of Africa but is mostly visited by Europeans that is close to its borders.

While there are many things to do and see, visitors will gravitate to the Medina where sprawling markets, palatial riads and traditional shrines are all on display. Our tour will also includes visits to the Jemaa el-Fnaa market, Jardin Majorelle, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Ali Ben Youssef Medersa Islamic School.

Morocco is a country of color and light, defined by vibrant mosaics and fascinating architecture, mazelike alleyways, centuries-old mosques and renovated riads, and most notably, exceedingly hospitable people. As we traverse the countryside, we will stay at a number of opulent hotel properties, including Sir Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamadot, which is renowned for its stunning design, lush gardens and striking views of the Atlas Mountains.

Trek’s hunting headquarters in Morocco, the Courrier Sud, is a peaceful home away, offering first-rate accommodations with spectacular views of the countryside, unrivaled hospitality and authentic Moroccan and French-inspired cuisine.
