US DOT Approves Airline Routes to Cuba

    |     Jun. 30, 2016

On June 14, 2016, the United State Department of Transportation approved routes for several US airlines, including American Airlines, Frontier, JetBlue, Silver, Southwest and Sun Country, to begin service to Cuba. This is another major step for US tourism into Cuba and eases even more of the limited ways to reach the island from the US now. Certainly positive news for those wanting to visit Cuba and experience the stories and lore that makes up our imagination. As of right now, the Havana route has not been released, but in the coming months we expect to have news and when seats will be available for purchase.

While restrictions on visiting Cuba for American tourist remain in place, Trek Safaris can obtain the proper license on your behalf for a legal trip to Cuba. We have touring and fishing programs allowing you to interact with the Cuban people and get to know their way of life.

It is apparent everyday the island is changing with thousands of tourist visiting daily, so having a company like Trek Safaris plan every detail of your trip is crucial. Call us today at 800-654-9915 to inquire more on Trek’s Cuba programs.
