Journeying from Manaus, Brazil into Santa Isabel do Rio Negro, Amazonas, our group will experience a cultural immersion into indigenous life in the jungle, as well as some of the most thrilling peacock bass fishing on Earth.
The Trip
Your adventure will begin with a flight to Manaus, Brazil. We recommend arrival in Manaus on the morning the day prior to departure for camp. We will arrange a premium hotel for your group, providing you with time for a Manaus city tour and some down time to prepare for your Amazon adventure.
The following morning, we will catch an early morning caravan charter flight into the jungle. From there, anglers will enjoy six days of fishing and non-fishing companions will experience the river tours and visits with the indigenous community.
After our time on the Amazon, we will return to Manaus where a double occupancy room will be reserved for you. Your group will be met at the hotel early the following morning for transfer to the airport for your flight home.
The Experience
The fierce fighting peacock bass is one of the most prized species in angling, The Zaltan’s experienced guide team is focused on positioning you for shots at 15-20+ pound trophy fish that will test the limits of your tackle.
Each day after breakfast, anglers will depart early morning with a native guide on a fully equipped bass tracker for a full day of fishing on the river. Non-angling companions will enjoy tours of the indigenous communities and the Amazon river. You can expect to see caiman, pink porpoises and monkeys during your days fishing the Rio Negro, but there really is no telling what else you may encounter during your visit.
