Back from Grand Slam Lodge

    |     Jun. 16, 2014

For those looking for their first Bonefish on the fly rod, Grand Slam Lodge, located 95 miles south of Cancun, can offer that and much more. Pictured here, Trek Customer Max, landed his first bonefish on fly last week. Add to that the numerous other species caught on the spinning rod, including a permit most anglers wait their whole lives for. Fish was landed in super skinny water in a mangrove pocket on a custom tied fly by Trek employee Chris Adams. Until this trip the fly had no specific name but has been officially dubbed The Yucatan Max.
