Bolivia is one of the best places in the world for incredibly high volume dove shooting, tremendous service, great food and first-rate lodging. With the opening of the Caño Negro lodge, Bolivia will soon be known for its fishing as well.
Shooting 1000 shells a day is common in Bolivia but when you can combine it with literally catch 100 peacock bass a day, this Cast and Blast is truly out of this world! Not only will you catch a lot of ferocious peacocks but can also catch the toothy Payara, Pacu, Oscars, Piranhas not to mention several varieties of Amazon catfish! The Caño Negro lodge is located in the middle of the jungle, close to the Brazilian border in the area known as the Beni.
This Bolivia dove hunting and Peacock Bass fishing trip is a nine-day, eight-night adventure with three days of fishing and three days of dove shooting. Each trip begins with an overnight flight from Miami to Santa Cruz. When you arrive the next morning, you will be met by one of our agents to assist the group through customs and gun clearance before heading to the domestic charter airport for private charter flight about two and a half hours to Cano Negro Lodge for an afternoon beginning to your fishing adventure.
The following two days are full fishing days. On day five, after fishing in the morning, you will charter back down to the hunting lodge, have lunch and head out for the rest of the afternoon’s dove hunting. The next two days will be full hunting days. You will shoot the last morning before having lunch and returning to Santa Cruz for the evening. On the final day, you will have a morning hunt before an evening departure from Santa Cruz. Reserve your spot now as groups of 8 or more get exclusive use of the lodge!
The shooting is extraordinary, as the sky is literally darkened by doves poring out of their roosts in the mornings and back in the afternoons. With these first class lodges, we are sure you will have a great trip.
The fishing is excellent for peacock bass from 3-10 pounds, Payara, and numerous other Amazonian species. Whatever your choice, bait casting, spinning or on the fly, your experienced guide will have you in the right spot. If the conditions are right, you should easily catch from 60 to well over 100 fish per day per person.
Las Palomas is a first class lodge with single occupancy, air conditioning and swimming pool. Caño Negro lodge has four air conditioned bungalows with double occupancy.
