Your hosts the the Lindskov Family guarantees your upland bird hunting to be comparable to anywhere in the world. Your upland hunt with them at Firesteel Creek Lodge will take you to a completely different ranch each day.

You will hunt the never-ending horizon of the upland grasslands and the beautiful breaks of the Grand River country with its heavy brush draws and coulees, as well as the thousands of acres of stubble and corn fields. Throughout the course of a day, you will have the opportunity to hunt several species of upland game including the ever-popular and South Dakota world-renowned Ringnecked Pheasant, the heart-pounding Sharptail Grouse, and the ever elusive Hungarian Partridge.

The Lindskov Ranch is predominantly high plains grassland spread throughout Corson, Dewey, and Ziebach Counties in northwestern South Dakota. The breaks and draws of the Grand and Moreau Rivers and the vast never-ending grass flats make for some of North America’s best Sharptail Grouse and Hungarian Partridge hunting anywhere.

In addition the family farms many thousands of acres, growing alfalfa hay and small grain crops such as millet, milo, winter and spring wheat, garbanzo beans (chick peas), sunflowers and corn. These crops, spread in boundless quantities throughout the ranch, create some of the most spectacular Ringneck Pheasant hunting anywhere in the world. By leaving some of every crop un-harvested on the edge of all grain fields, the wildlife has flourished for  decades.

Firesteel Creek Lodge boasts three lodges, located in Isabel, South Dakota. All guest rooms feature coffee makers, hairdryers, plush robes and bath amenities, along with a complimentary welcome basket of waters chips, candy and snacks that are restocked daily. The accommodation’s facilities include an on-site restaurant serving international cuisine, a cosy bar, and a family owned 83-year-old ranch featuring cattle and wildlife.

The Main Lodge features  over five thousand square feet, the lodge invites our guests to come home and relax in the main level Sitting Room with its peaceful ambiance and view, great for reading or just watching the game after an afternoon of hunting. If you’re looking for a little different scenery head downstairs for a game of pool, or sit by the stone fireplace with a cocktail from the complimentary full-service bar. If a cigar is more of what you had in mind, step outside onto the stone patio and enjoy the incredible South Dakota sunsets or the howl of the distant coyotes. With its many radiant heaters everyone finds themselves out on the patio at some time during their stay with us. In addition to the Main Lodge there are also the Hungarian and Sharptail Buildings.
