Trek is pleased to introduce you to Jetu’u Lodge and the opportunity to target the fierce and acrobatic golden dorado where the boats are parked steps away for a short run to your first cast. Jetu’u is a warm and hospitable place where you’ll be treated as family and the stay will be as memorable as the fishing.

For our clients seeking a world-class cast-and-blast experience, we also can combine a visit to Jetu’u with a few days of high-volume dive shooting at La Portenita Lodge in Cordoba.

Located in the Corrientes Province of Northeast Argentina, Jetu’u Lodge offers anglers the opportunity to fish for golden dorado among the pristine marsh of the Isoro Wetlands, the only provincial reserve in the mid-Parana River, as well as to stalk big dorado in the target-rich waters of the Parana.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you’ll connect with a commercial flight to Corrientes or Resistencia airport, where you’ll take a charter flight to Goya and transfer to the lodge. The following morning, we will arrange transfer to B.A.’s domestic airport for your charter flight to Corrientes Province.

On your final day, the lodge team will transfer you to Goya for either charter back to Corrientes or Resistencia for your commercial flight back to BA, or for a charter to Cordoba to shoot doves. The option to charter straight to Goya from Buenos Aires is available, too.

Golden dorado are our main target here, but you may encounter a chance for other species such as chafalote, pacu, pira-pita and palometa, depending on conditions and time of year. Since the wetlands are connected to the mid section of the Parana River, you can also target the main river in search of bigger dorados.

Each morning you’ll enjoy a full breakfast before heading out for a morning of stalking dorado. The boats are only a few feet away from the rooms, so no transfers are needed, only a few minutes boat ride to the action, which translates to more time in the water.

Mid-day, we will return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta, followed by a late afternoon fishing session. We fish two to the boat, with each pair of anglers receiving the full attention of experienced, local English-speaking guides.

In the evening, we return to the lodge for a gourmet dinner of local favorites, including the best Argentinian beef and wines.

The lodge is an authentic and rustic estancia, where cattle and horses roam the picturesque countryside. The lodge comprises four double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and offers numerous inviting common areas.

The swimming pool is a cool respite after a long warm day of fishing. It’s your choice to enjoy meals outdoors or in the cool comfort of the indoor dining room. The lodge staff is always on point to ensure your stay is one you’ll always warmly remember.
