Estancia de los Ríos is located on a 360,000-acre private ranch that is the second largest in Chile. Here you can enjoy dry fly fishing all day without seeing a soul as the area is home to more than 60 miles of rivers inside the ranch, which allows you to fly fish different water every day. This is the real Patagonia offering spectacular Andes views, outstanding angling and a place where time stands still.
To reach Estancia de los Rios you will need to arrive into Santiago (Chilean Capital) and take a connecting flight to Coyhaique (Balmaceda Airport) where a staff member from Estancia de los Rios will greet you and make the 4.5 hour drive North along the Austral road, Chile’s most scenic route. You will drive through typical villages and Andean valleys where you will see a glimpse of the lifestyle of the inhabitants of Patagonia.

Chile is renowned among angling aficionados for its abundance of trout-producing waters and its awe-inspiring landscape. Los Rios is perfect for small groups and families looking for a variety of angling and non-angling activities including horseback riding, hiking, scenic float trips, guided tours by vehicle or horseback, photographic safaris, and mountain biking to name just a few.

Located only 300 yards from the Rio Cisnes is a large one -story log house with six ample double guest rooms, all with private bathrooms and great mountain vistas. Guests also enjoy attractive and comfortable common spaces: a large mud room, ample living and dining rooms, as well as outdoor terraces along the front of the lodge. Adjacent to the main lodge there is a “Quincho”; a special building where Los Rios’s prepares a classic and typical Patagonian barbecue, done each week the night prior to your departure. Professional bilingual guides and fly-fishing instructors, attentive staff, exquisite cuisine and selected fine wines of Chile make this fly-fishing trip to Patagonia an unforgettable experience.
